Atlantic City, NJ
The skyline in the distance is Atlantic City, NJ. In order to get there we had to travel in the Atlantic Ocean. The amount of Big water that we have had to travel in was NOT divulged to me about the Great Loop before leaving Texas. This is definitely not the protected "ditch" that I was led to believe was the travel path.
This is the third Golden Nugget we have stayed at and definitely the busiest.
OK, so you may have played the penny or nickle slots, maybe even the quarter or dollar slots, but have you ever played the $100 per pull slots?
The view of the marina from across the channel.
Yet again it was too cold to use the beautiful pool facilities!!
Looking down on the marina from the pool deck above.
We ended up staying 3 nights in AC after having a false start after night #1. We left at 6:00am and were back in the marina by 6:45am. The inlet was extremely turbulent and even after getting back in the Ocean it was too rough for our liking so out of 8 boats we were the only ones to turn back. It was a hard decision but in hind sight was a good choice.
Below are pics from the Atlantic City Boardwalk. I believe as a little girl a summer vaca was spent in AC but the only resemblance was the Salt Water Taffy!
Ha ha, really, "Spanish Food"? Definitely not in San Antonio anymore.
It looks so warm, but it wasn't!!
Have to accommodate everyone and their needs.
Who would have thought that our flybridge would be the one that everyone would meet in to discuss that next day's plans. We have made very good use of this area and are so glad we had the cushions and glass and canvas redone before leaving Kemah. I can't think of another boat that we have spent time in when wanting to get together other than ours.
