Finally Florida!!

Another early morning out of Orange Beach, AL to head to Niceville, FL.  Look how flat the water was and it pretty much stayed that way all day long. 😀 We travelled 67.3 miles to Bluewater Bay Marina.

Yes, yes, yes!
This is the first time we've seen a state welcome sign along the GICW and we were happy to see this one. Now we just need warmer weather!

We long ago lost track of the number of fixed bridges, swing bridges, pontoon bridges, railroad bridges, bascule bridges or cable bridges we've crossed. Fortunately, our air draft is around 17 feet and we can get beneath most all of them.

White sand beaches, clear water, and pine and palm trees are now our scenery.

This is the view from the aft deck of Second Wave. Bluewater Bay Marina - a very small, peaceful place to be. A charming marina.

Homes along one side of Bluewater Bay Marina.

Dolphins playing in the marina about mid morning.

Small beach at the marina.

Second Wave resting after a long day on the water. She is side-tied to a new fixed dock in 7 feet of clear water. Hope to drop the dinghy and do some exploring if the weather permits (rain in the forecast - again!)

Yes, this boat was built in 1906. It is docked here at the marina. She looks brand new. Brent has been hanging around hoping the owner would show up so he could get a tour. No luck yet.
