Michigan City, IN - Finally out of Michigan!

We not only left Michigan but we also left the Eastern Time Zone today as we entered Indiana.  This is the entrance to Michigan City, IN. (still of the eastern shore of Lake Michigan).

Yes, that's a cooling tower for a power plant. The ironic thing is that at the marina (right next to the power plant) we had shoddy electrical service!

Here are a few images from the area.

We must be getting close to Texas if we are seeing restaurants like Galvestons! We certainly are not that close, still 1300 miles to go just to reach Mobile Bay, Alabama.

Monday Special - Full rack of ribs.  We're usually disappointed when we order a ribeye at a restaurant, even in a steakhouse. We always end up comparing it to what we grill on the boat (or back at home). So Brent went for the ribs and said they were really good.

It looks like home!

We haven't seen this on our trip before. In the photo above is a pay-at-the-pump fuel dock on the water. Its open 24 hours a day - just like Valero!

Second Wave at the dock in the photo above and Rainbows and Unicorns just off of her bow in the picture below.
