Little Current, Ontario
Just a one night stay in Little Current on the eve of another weekend festival. All these small towns have activities every weekend since their summer temperatures are very limited. This was an event that started on Thursday, Carver Kings from HGTV we there strutting their stuff with chain saws. It was pretty cool to watch.
Then there was yet another craft beer from this particular area. It was pretty good so we plan to visit the brewery in Gore Bay when we get there.
The parks along the water are places of serenity and always attract those searching for the same.
The Anchor Inn had live entertainment the night we were there so we went in to enjoy the sounds and even danced a little. Below is the performer who mainly played old country songs. He has been doing this for 8 years.
The Anchor Inn is also the home of the Cruiser's Network broadcast in this area of Canada. It is a morning radio program that airs daily at 9am where all of the cruisers call in on their VHF marine radios to get local information, weather forecasts, and learn where everyone else is on the water. News and interesting stories are also shared. The program lasts about an hour and is a welcome interruption to the routine while underway. I guess its like Social Media on the VHF.
