Staten Island, NY

After carefully planning the night before, our second attempt out of Atlantic City was golden.  The weather including wind, waves and swells weren't going to get much better so we decided to endure a 85 mile day and go directly to Staten Island to put the Atlantic behind us.

After about 10 hours we arrived at Great Kills Yacht Club where John, the Harbor Host and Commodore of the Yacht Club, welcomed us and helped us get into our slip.  Since he is a member of AGLCA he allows other Loopers to stay at the marina at a very affordable price.

Thought this license plate was pretty cool!

We walked down the street from the Yacht Club and celebrated John and Marilyn's 44th anniversary at Canes Italian Restaurant. All the guests at the table are fellow loopers who also stayed at the Yacht Club.

Brent couldn't resist taking this picture! (Guns Up!!)
