Super Bowl Sunday

Ever Uber to church?....we did.... Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Foley, AL. A good way to start Super Bowl Sunday.

This stained glass window made us feel right at home.

Mass began at 10:30am and we arrived at 10:15am (very early for us - we're usually late). When we walked inside, the church was already full. We saw nothing but bald heads and gray hair. We were the youngest people there by 20 years. Don't misunderstand, everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly. We just didn't realize the Gulf Shores was such a retirement community.

Sword salute by the Sport Fishing boats along our dock at The Wharf Marina. A great facility with a great staff.

We watched the game in the Boater's Lounge at the Marina and held a small Super Bowl Party for ourselves and Ken and Lori from Randy Jo. We were eventually joined by the security guard and another boat captain (also doing the Loop) who was a retired Texas high school football coach who told us some great stories about his trip down the Mississippi River in November.
